Vintage Industrial Ironworker Shelving Unit

By | bookcase, shelving | One Comment

We had a client that needed to fill a wall with shelving. So we decided to use our Ironworker design, and build 3 separate shelves that bolt together to make one large one. The piece has 7 dark stained sugar pine shelves, almost 600 rivets, a rust patina on the steel, and is my new favorite shelf! If you are interested in one, we build these to order and can make them in any size.

Dimensions: 8′ Tall x 8′ 9″ Wide x 14.5″ Deep
Priced around $5700

Vintage Industrial Kitchen Island

By | commercial furniture, kitchen island | 2 Comments

A couple months back we had a chef approach us looking for some kitchen islands. We decided to use our Ellis design. They are similar in style, and mirrored on both sides. One has 2 doors on each side, some shelving in the center, and an overhanging top to work as a bar with our Wright stools. The other has 3 drawers per side, open storage underneath, and 2 enclosed storage bays under that. Each Ellis island (funny how it came out that way) has GFCI outlets on one side with wiring routed down to the ground. These are finished with 4 heavy duty locking casters, and aged sugar pine tops. Weight is somewhere around half a ton each, ya they are heavy!

Vintage Industrial Louie Cafe Table

By | cafe table, commercial furniture, dining table, end table, side table | 4 Comments

Last week I had an idea for a new restaurant cafe table. I started with a solid steel 2″ screw for the base. It pierces through the table top and has a 3″ nut which makes a very interesting focal point. This was designed as a fairly economical commercial quality table that would last forever, and catch people’s interest.

This table can of course be customized: A round and or wood top would soften the look, painted, chromed, brass or copper plated, use two bases to support a larger top, make it side or coffee table size, etc.

Priced around $1095, quantity discounts available. These are built to order and there is a lead time.

Vintage Industrial Hostess Stands / POS Carts

By | commercial furniture, Hostess Stand, POS station | 2 Comments

Below are some hostess stands we made for a couple restaurants last week. These 2 designs can be customized to suit your needs. Pricing starts around $2895 and right now our lead time is at 8 weeks (it varies), so place your order soon to get it in time for your opening!

Both POS designs are built to last, and catch the attention of potential customers. We can also add brass accents (something new for us). Options include keyboard trays, drawers, menu holders, holes for wiring and POS computers, legs, casters, brass trim, hardwood accents, aged stenciling, etc. Although these pieces are new, we go through great lengths to age them from top to bottom.

Growth

What an interesting ride it’s been! Last year we were working out of a studio at my house. And today we’re in a 6000 sf historical warehouse. We’ve hired several awesome employees in the last month. I’m trying to keep our lead time down under 6 weeks which has been a challenge, while trying to keep the manpower available to work on new design ideas, of which there are many (keep your eyes out for some commercial quality chairs and stools coming soon). We’re working on getting in several retail stores (finally), building a center piece table for a sports talk show, building fixtures for retail stores, and basically expanding the company on a monthly basis in every way. I was told yesterday that we should put together a press kit which sounds like a good idea, just too busy at the moment building and designing!!

So I just wanted to thank our fans, friends, employees, customers and my wife for everything you’ve done to support us on this crazy roller coaster ride! There’s been some growing pains for sure, but it’s so worth it for the end result.

We’re done moving, and as usual it took twice as long as planned. We’ve also expanded our workforce and our lead time is now 2-4 weeks at the moment. I’ve been hoping to lower it since 2009 and it’s finally happened! Let us know if you have rush orders and we’ll see what we can do.
