Our Work at the Four Seasons Restaurant Proof

By | chair, commercial furniture, dining table, seating | No Comments

Proof just opened up in Scottsdale at the Four Seasons Troon North. We had a lot fun designing and building the pieces for them. We built 2 special tables which were modeled after an old train cart. They roll on a steel track (flush with floor) like a real train, and can be pushed together, or moved outside. One of the worn oak tops has our crank mechanism and adjusts in height. They weigh in around 550 lbs each. We also built a bunch of our fixed height swiveling Wright bar chairs.

This is a good example of what we can do with just an idea from a client.

New Stool and Locker

Here are a couple new designs we just finished.

I’m Bored Bar Stool

This new bar stool is a little different from our norm. It has a little modernness to it which seems to go well with the vintage industrial part. As usual, it’s overbuilt. The seat is made from round tubes which is actually pretty comfy, and the back is mahogany. The rest is all aged steel including the 1″ threaded foot rest.  Below is a price estimate:

1 @ $725 each

4 @ $650 each

12 @ $625 each

24 @ $575 each

Vintage Industrial Locker

We can make this in any size/configuration that you need. The one pictured has 5 heavy duty mesh doors and measures 8′ w x 15″ d x 32″ t. It would price at $3450 as pictured.

MGM Casino in Motorcity

By | chair, commercial furniture, console table, dining table, seating, shelving, sideboard | No Comments

Earlier this year, MGM designers came to us looking for some pieces to fill their restaurant. They used our designs and website as inspiration for the space, which was very flattering. Sim and I will be heading down there later this month to see the space in person and get some pictures. The restaurant opens in late September 2012 (Motorcity MGM Casino).

We ended up building several special I Beam bar height bases which have space for beer conduit running through the center up to the top. So partons will be able to serve themselves alcohol from the table top bar taps. And I Beams have a door so they can service the conduit in the interior.

Vintage Industrial Bar Stool & Chair Designs

By | chair, commercial furniture, seating | No Comments

Vintage Industrial has been busy making chairs and stools and now have 4 customizable designs. We’re working over the next couple months to lower lead times on these and probably keep some IN-STOCK. All designs are commercial quality and beyond, and we can customize. Whether you need a desk or dining chair, or a bar stool at your restaurant or diner, we can do that.

New A Frame Stool

By | chair, commercial furniture, seating | No Comments

We’re working on some new chairs, and here is one of them, the A Frame stool. Makes a nice companion for our A Frame table, or any bar height table for that matter. This stool tips the scales at 40 lbs, is 30″ in height, has a 16″ aged mahogany top, and 2 solid steel 1″ thick machine screws for a foot rest. As always, this piece is commercial quality and built to outlast you.  Priced at $425 each, $1620 for 4, or $4620 for 12.

Crank Dining Table and Wright Chairs

By | chair, commercial furniture, dining table, seating | No Comments

Here’s a variation of the Crank desk in dining table size built to seat 10. It adjusts from 30″ – 40″ in height and the 2″ steel top is 90″ x 38″. We put this on locking casters which makes it pretty easy to move around considering it weighs around 500 lbs. Our Wright chairs are on the left side, and our Wright stools are on the right.

This table is priced around $5700 and the chairs vary from $355 to $495 depending on the style and quantity.

Toledo Replica Chairs and Stools

By | chair, commercial furniture, seating | 4 Comments

Here’s our take on the old Toledo draftsman stools, we call it the Wright Chair. We took molds from the original seats and made them with maple. The round seat stool has a mahogany seat. The seats swivel and adjust in height 10″, and there is a locking mechanism to prevent swiveling. The base has an aged patina, and the wood has an aged stain. These are commercial quality chairs, ready for restaurant or everyday use. Seat adjusts from 25″ – 35″. We’ll have a dining height version soon that adjusts from 20″ – 30″.

Priced at $495 each, $475 for 4

Toledo Reproduction Drafting Stool / UHL Chair

By | chair, commercial furniture, seating | 16 Comments

Finally, we finished our bar stool design. It’s similar to the old Toledo drafting chairs, with some updates. We have a couple versions, one that goes from dining height to counter, and one that goes from counter to bar height. The seat swivels and has a lock if you should want to lock it. The seat and back are made from bent maple, just like the original Toledo chairs, and have an adjustable angle. We can also put casters on these and paint them, chrome, copper or brass plate the steel, and do various stains on the wood. So they can be customized like most of our designs. This chair is commercial quality and ready for restaurant use.

Vintage Industrial Adjustable Height Chair / Stool

By | chair, seating | 4 Comments

We’re finally getting close to finishing our chair design. It’s been a year in the works! We love the old Toledo UHL drafting chairs and wanted to create our own version of it. Restoration Hardware has replicated this chair already, but unfortunately I’ve heard the quality is not so good. A few of my clients have stated this and a restaurant project that I worked on is needing to replace their broken and worn out RH chairs and it hasn’t even been a year yet. RH updated their website and the chair description now reads “This collection is for residential use” which I think is a sneaky way of saying not commercial quality.

But our new chair will be commercial quality, as is everything we build. Our thought is that it needs to last 100 years or more. The seat height will be adjustable from dining to bar height which will make it very versatile. It’ll have a maple seat and back, just like the original Toledo chairs. We’ll probably make them with metal seats too. As with everything we make, these will be customizable to suit your specific needs. As for cost, it’ll be somewhere from $400-600, not exactly sure yet.

Below is an original Toledo drafting chair from the 20s so you can get an idea of our inspiration. These things last forever and you should expect the same from us.
