New Stool and Locker

By | bookcase, chair, commercial furniture, retail fixture, seating, shelving, storage | No Comments

Here are a couple new designs we just finished.

I’m Bored Bar Stool

This new bar stool is a little different from our norm. It has a little modernness to it which seems to go well with the vintage industrial part. As usual, it’s overbuilt. The seat is made from round tubes which is actually pretty comfy, and the back is mahogany. The rest is all aged steel including the 1″ threaded foot rest.  Below is a price estimate:

1 @ $725 each

4 @ $650 each

12 @ $625 each

24 @ $575 each

Vintage Industrial Locker

We can make this in any size/configuration that you need. The one pictured has 5 heavy duty mesh doors and measures 8′ w x 15″ d x 32″ t. It would price at $3450 as pictured.

Our work at Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen and Bar

I’m proud to show pictures of some of the work we did for Guy Fieri’s new NYC restaurant.  Our crew worked some long hours to get this done on time.  They are slated to open this Monday in Time Square. The 16k square foot restaurant seats 500! Sim and Greg will be flying to NYC soon to visit the restaurant and get a much needed vacation! More coverage here.

The red shelf was built as a back bar and was 24′ wide x 14′ tall.

We used 3 large Ellis consoles as the base for this custom Ironworker shelving unit. It spanned 25′ wide x 14′ tall, weighed around a ton, and was fabbed in Phoenix and then shipped to NYC.

MGM Casino in Motorcity

By | chair, commercial furniture, console table, dining table, seating, shelving, sideboard | No Comments

Earlier this year, MGM designers came to us looking for some pieces to fill their restaurant. They used our designs and website as inspiration for the space, which was very flattering. Sim and I will be heading down there later this month to see the space in person and get some pictures. The restaurant opens in late September 2012 (Motorcity MGM Casino).

We ended up building several special I Beam bar height bases which have space for beer conduit running through the center up to the top. So partons will be able to serve themselves alcohol from the table top bar taps. And I Beams have a door so they can service the conduit in the interior.

New Designs by Vintage Industrial

We’ve been really busy the past few weeks doing some big jobs and getting the shop organized to run more efficiently. Take a look at the red shelving system we made for celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s restaurant that’ll be opening up soon in Time Square. It’s 24′ wide x 14′ tall and was powdercoated red and aged back to give it a 1950s feel. We’ll be making another shelf shortly for the same restaurant, but in a different style, so stay tuned. I’ll get installed photos too. It’s modular which makes it easy to ship and install.

Here’s a write-up on the place –> http://ny.eater.com/tags/guys-american-kitchen-and-bar

We made some I Beam bases for the MGM Casino in Detroit which had extra rivets, and doors to access the inside. They are going in the bar area and will have beer taps routed through the center so the patrons will have self-service beer, in other words, beer taps on the bar tables!

And here is a sneak peak at our new Ellis shelf design. It’s made with the Ellis steel frame, and aged solid cherry wood on the sides and shelves. This one is 48″ wide x 16″ deep x 78″ tall, although it can be made in any size, and weighs in at 175 lbs (the cherry wood is heavy). This can also be enclosed like the original Ellis console with added doors. Caster would look nice too. Still working on pricing, and I’ll have better pics soon.

Vintage Industrial Ironworker Shelving Unit

By | bookcase, shelving | One Comment

We had a client that needed to fill a wall with shelving. So we decided to use our Ironworker design, and build 3 separate shelves that bolt together to make one large one. The piece has 7 dark stained sugar pine shelves, almost 600 rivets, a rust patina on the steel, and is my new favorite shelf! If you are interested in one, we build these to order and can make them in any size.

Dimensions: 8′ Tall x 8′ 9″ Wide x 14.5″ Deep
Priced around $5700

Here are some recent pieces we’ve made. Our shop has been quite busy with orders, new designs, and expanding the shop.

Here is one of 2 massive kitchen islands along with our Wright Stool.

308 Shelf

By | bookcase, shelving | No Comments

Here is a 308 shelf I finished yesterday. It has aged sugar pine shelves instead of the usual mahogany. Dimensions are 72″ x 36″ x 12″ deep and it prices at $1,395.

Ironworker Media Console

By | console table, media console, shelving | No Comments

My TV needed something under it so I decided on this French Industrial inspired design. The Ironworker Console Table, 48″ x 20″ x 32″ tall (custom sizes and finishes available), weighs around 200 lbs, on 5″ locking cast iron casters, a 50lbs steel riveted top, 124 rivets and 28 braces, aged sugar pine lower shelves, and a rust patina. It got it’s name in honor of the old time ironworkers who, back in the day, built things with pride to last. We can make this in many variations, sizes, finishes, enclose it, add drawers, chrome, copper or polished finish, etc. This would also make a nice kitchen island or worktable. Prices vary, but this size and finish runs $1,650.

The Ironworker Bookshelf

By | bookcase, shelving | One Comment

This custom piece is 79″ T x 16″ d x 24″ w, weighs close to 200 lbs, and has 192 rivets. It’s all handmade and built to last centuries. I named it the Ironworker Bookshelf in honor of the old time ironworkers who, back in the day, built beautiful things to last.

We can build these in custom sizes and finishes tailored to suit your needs (a chrome or rust steel finish would look great too). Price mainly depends on the size and varies from $1,650 on up . And I can give discounts for quantity orders. I plan on making a larger 4′ wide one for my wife so stay tuned…
