Vintage Industrial Kitchen Island

By | commercial furniture, console table, kitchen island | No Comments

We’ve had several requests for custom kitchen islands lately. And our Ellis design makes a great one. This island is a little smaller than the last two, has an aged sugar pine top, with 2 drawers, and big shelf, and 2 doors at the bottom. We added a 10″ overhang on the back side to slide a few stools there. And finally, it has our vintage reproduction locking 6″ casters which makes it easy to move around, even though it weighs around 400 lbs.

Vintage Pasco Wooden Industrial Gear Molds

By | furniture, wooden gear molds | One Comment

Standing at 54″ tall and weighing 75 lbs, our wooden gear makes for a spectacular decoration. This is a reproduction gear mold, and they are getting harder and harder to find. Back in the day, they would first make these large gears out of wood. Then they’d do a sand casting from it, and pour in molten metal to make a metal gear.

We can also make these in just about any size, finish, or color. Upcharge for custom gears. You can buy it here: Wooden Gear Mold

I also have an amazing set of original vintage Pasco wooden gear molds for sale. The paint and colors are amazing. They used these molds to build giant steel gears back in the mid 1900s. Would be perfect for a loft, restaurant, or retail space.

They are close to identical and the left one is 14″ x 53″ and the right 15″ x 53″. These are on sale for $6000 for the set. These are probably the only ones in existence like this.

2 New Vintage Industrial Dining Table Designs

By | conference table, dining table | One Comment

Here’s a sneak peak of a couple new designs that are almost finished. Both are heavy duty dining tables. We’re pretty happy with how they turned out. Will have finished pictures and more information soon.

Hure Dining Table with a worn oak top. The bases are crafted out of very heavy gauge steel, and are connect with a large 2″ screw.

Floyd Dining table – This base was built to support a large top. It weighs around 400 lbs, and has a great vintage patina. Most of the weight is in the solid 1 3/8″ thick steel bottom which makes it stable for big tops, or an elephant or two.

Crank Dining Table and Wright Chairs

By | chair, commercial furniture, dining table, seating | No Comments

Here’s a variation of the Crank desk in dining table size built to seat 10. It adjusts from 30″ – 40″ in height and the 2″ steel top is 90″ x 38″. We put this on locking casters which makes it pretty easy to move around considering it weighs around 500 lbs. Our Wright chairs are on the left side, and our Wright stools are on the right.

This table is priced around $5700 and the chairs vary from $355 to $495 depending on the style and quantity.

Vintage Industrial Furniture

By | about me | 3 Comments

Just wanted to thank all of our clients, fans and supporters for everything they’ve done. Business is good here, almost out of control. We’ve gone from a couple part time people to over 10 employees in the last 6 months. Our lead time has stayed from 6-10 weeks the whole time. My cellphone is the company phone and it’s been ringing off the hook. So if I don’t return your call right away, my apologies, I’ll get back to you soon. Looks like we’ll need a secretary. All of this growth has been difficult, but the response we’ve gotten is pretty awesome. Our main client base used to be residential, but now it’s mainly commercial (we still do residential so don’t worry). I suppose the quality of our product lends itself well to the commercial market. So our products are popping up in restaurants and retail stores all over the US.

My original idea hasn’t really changed, build something that I am proud of, in America, that’s made to last and can be handed down to the next generation. Make a minimal impact on the environment. Share the profits with our employees, and donate some anonymously to charity. And put a smile on our client’s faces. I’m a big believer in Karma, what comes around, goes around.

So this week we are working hard on the fixtures for a new huge clothing brand. We are also taking the time to finish a few new table designs that I am very excited about. Might make some pub tables for Lambeau Field, meeting with some reporters, and ship out a few waiting orders. And we’re about at max capacity in our 6000 sf shop. Might have to expand again.

Toledo Replica Chairs and Stools

By | chair, commercial furniture, seating | 4 Comments

Here’s our take on the old Toledo draftsman stools, we call it the Wright Chair. We took molds from the original seats and made them with maple. The round seat stool has a mahogany seat. The seats swivel and adjust in height 10″, and there is a locking mechanism to prevent swiveling. The base has an aged patina, and the wood has an aged stain. These are commercial quality chairs, ready for restaurant or everyday use. Seat adjusts from 25″ – 35″. We’ll have a dining height version soon that adjusts from 20″ – 30″.

Priced at $495 each, $475 for 4

Vintage Industrial Ironworker Shelving Unit

By | bookcase, shelving | One Comment

We had a client that needed to fill a wall with shelving. So we decided to use our Ironworker design, and build 3 separate shelves that bolt together to make one large one. The piece has 7 dark stained sugar pine shelves, almost 600 rivets, a rust patina on the steel, and is my new favorite shelf! If you are interested in one, we build these to order and can make them in any size.

Dimensions: 8′ Tall x 8′ 9″ Wide x 14.5″ Deep
Priced around $5700

Vintage Industrial Kitchen Island

By | commercial furniture, kitchen island | 2 Comments

A couple months back we had a chef approach us looking for some kitchen islands. We decided to use our Ellis design. They are similar in style, and mirrored on both sides. One has 2 doors on each side, some shelving in the center, and an overhanging top to work as a bar with our Wright stools. The other has 3 drawers per side, open storage underneath, and 2 enclosed storage bays under that. Each Ellis island (funny how it came out that way) has GFCI outlets on one side with wiring routed down to the ground. These are finished with 4 heavy duty locking casters, and aged sugar pine tops. Weight is somewhere around half a ton each, ya they are heavy!
