Walnut 308 console and a mahogany 308 side table with 5″ spoked casters
I was going through all the Ellis consoles we’ve made. There’s been a lot of them! So I put together an album and slideshow with some of my favorites. We’ve built them as coffee tables, media consoles, point of sale stations for restaurants, hostess stands, side tables, night stands, dressers, filing cabinets, sideboards, as a hutch, kitchen island, and more. Seems to be our most versatile design. I’ll be adding more info as well as sizing and options. All of these are custom Ellis’s:
Here are a couple pieces just finished.
Low A Frame console with 4 doors:
Royston desk with a dark alder top, and a filing cabinet drawer:
I took some pictures yesterday of some new pieces and designs…
308 Media Shelf – 84″ x 43″ x 18″ with space for a flat screen on the 3rd shelf
Ellis Media console – 7′ x 20″ x 18″ tall, has two doors and a center door with pipe legs
Industrial Toilet Paper Holder – Our shop needed one of these so I put this together. It’s definitely overbuilt, weighs around 10 lbs, and the Acme nuts keep the paper secure. The double holder will make sure you are never without a square again! – Price $225
Adjustable Height coffee table – 42″ x 42″ x 18-30″ tall, this heavy duty coffee table adjusts in height to double as a cafe or dining table. It has a 30″ square cutout in the center which will hold a piece of glass which allows you to see the workings of the design.
Here is a variation of my Ellis design. It has 4 solid doors with ironwork that is riveted and bolted on, an internal shelf, 6″ cast iron casters, solid mahogany top and shelves, about 400 lbs of handmade steel and hardwood. Ideal for a residential, or commercial setting. Built to last a lifetime and then some. This piece as pictured is priced around $3575. Without the hutch it prices around $2595.
Dimensions: 60″ L x 20″ D x 74″ T
Available in custom sizes, finishes, and can be tailored to suit your needs.
My TV needed something under it so I decided on this French Industrial inspired design. The Ironworker Console Table, 48″ x 20″ x 32″ tall (custom sizes and finishes available), weighs around 200 lbs, on 5″ locking cast iron casters, a 50lbs steel riveted top, 124 rivets and 28 braces, aged sugar pine lower shelves, and a rust patina. It got it’s name in honor of the old time ironworkers who, back in the day, built things with pride to last. We can make this in many variations, sizes, finishes, enclose it, add drawers, chrome, copper or polished finish, etc. This would also make a nice kitchen island or worktable. Prices vary, but this size and finish runs $1,650.
Here is another variation of the Ellis console table with 4 doors with solid fronts and 2 shelves in the middle. There is a hole in the back of each section for wiring. The piece is 60″ wide x 22″ deep x 32″ tall and weight around 225 lbs. This piece will price around $2295.
Custom Ellis console table with hand polished steel, doors on the top, and a black lacquered oak top. Has a mid-century modern industrial look. This was a piece for a client. Cost to reproduce this is around $1375 for the console plus $350 to polish it.
Here is the TV Stand I recently finished. It has a Peruvian walnut top with a shellac finish. And it doesn’t have doors which gets the price down. This piece would cost $995 and is 4′ x 20″ x 32″ tall. It would also work great as a kitchen island.
This new creation has a thick mahogany top with a shellac finish. It measure 40″ w x 20″ d x 18″ t and weighs a little over 100 lbs. The cabinet has two doors with cast iron latches, and is enclosed all the way around by a cloverleaf screen. Other features include a dark vintage patina on the steel, lots of iron rivets, 6″ cast iron casters, and a small hole inside the cabinet for A/V wiring if you want to use it for that. This piece is designed to function as coffee table or a TV stand with room for components below.
Priced at $1150
This design is based on my media console, just in a coffee table size (40″ w x 20″ d x 18″ t). It would also make a cool tv stand. It has 6″ heavy duty casters, a rich dark vintage patina on the steel, and aged gray oak for a top. Weighs around 100 lbs, but rolls around easily with the casters. I’ll be making some different versions of this, like enclosing the bottom shelf, using mahogany, and making one 50″ wide. Priced at $895, this piece can also be customized to suit your needs.
Up for sale, is this Flat Panel Stand / Stereo Stand with an African Mahogany top. Dimensions are 4′ x 20″ x 32″ tall and weight is about 180lbs. I am really happy with how it came out. The cabinet doors were slightly improved from the last design, and I went with a darker stain. Price is $1,250 + shipping, or pickup in Phoenix is free. Freight shipping to the West Coast is $280 and to the East Coast it’s $380. This is the first flat panel stand I’ve made that hasn’t been sold before it was finished. And I will have some different versions of this design available soon. (SOLD, BUT MAKING MORE)
This is the 3rd media console I’ve made for a customer. It has a walnut top with a lot of character. It looks like I’ll be making several more of these over the next month so get in line if you want one (I know I do)! Size is 4′ x 20″ x 32″ tall.
